ATLANTA NEWS FIRST

Last year, the varsity cheerleader and student body president, Leighanne Bryant wanted to give back to her community in a big way. She created her own nonprofit called Gold Star Kids Support Services to raise money for kids who have lost a loved one in military service.

The money funds extracurricular activities like karate and dance classes, golf lessons, and much more. These activities help the children to find a positive outlook on life, even after a tragedy in their life.
